Guilty pleasure of mine, I really love the way these things look. Especially in Exclusive trim and the Cardamon green colour that they come in.

I've not driven one and I see that their performance is very what shall I call it, 'limited'? But I do love a small, lightweight and basic car that you can drive flat out everywhere without the risk of losing your licence. 😊

So, has anyone got one / driven one and is it that sort of car, or is it a bit rubbish. 🤔

My dealer gave me one as a courtesy car a couple of times. First time round the guy told me to be careful as it's so underpowered. I thought it a bit odd to be warned of a car's lack of power but it did take me by surprise a bit - joining the M3 on an uphill slip road was quite hard work. I found I really had to floor it to just about keep up with a lorry in front of me and then had to make sure I had plenty of space once on there to overtake to avoid pulling out and just being in everyone's way.

The service guy said it's got the same 1l n/a engine as the old aygo but weighs over 1.2 tonnes. 0-60 (and appreciate it's not all about 0-60s) is ~14s.

I'm sure it would be fine around town but it's not a particularly inspiring drive and as Onehp said, I think there are probably more fun small cars out there

I've always had one as a courtesy when the GRY is in for a service and it's nice as a run around but super slow obviously compared to the GR Yaris so when you get in after the Service you are blown away lol! Wooooshhh!! :ROFLMAO:

Had one as a courtesy car, yeah pretty dangerously underpowered anywhere outside of a town centre. It is fun to have a car that you can drive flat out, but not if you have to drive it flat out lol.

Just some readjustment needed and indeed jolly great to get back in the GRY that feels like an actual rocket in comparison 🤣

Thanks guys. Yes, it certainly seems a bit underpowered, that's a shame. Be interesting to see a proper GR version, like an up gti equivalent, but I guess that isn't going to happen.

Just bought one, to replace our ageing IQ. Love the shape, and it seems to do pretty much everything better than the IQ.

We have owned a GT86 for 10 years, which is Cosworth supercharged, and we have a CHR GR Sport, which is our only claim to GR fame!
