Any updates guys?
Not yet. I’m still awaiting my revised file. Will enquire tomorrow as it’s a week since I sent Litchfield the data logs. Although I’m very happy to report that the initial base tune is working well in the meantime. Will update when I have a meaningful err update…

just a quick update to say following a review of the initial base tune datalogs Litchfield have found some instances of the boost dropping off more than usual between WOT gear changes so are making some changes to the map then will test on their similarly tuned dev car (intake and exhaust only) to see if they have ironed it out and then will send it over. Something to do with crossover from Toyota boost control maps and EcuTek ones, but I honestly have no idea what that means. Will update and share my experience in due course but happy that they are at least acknowledging an issue and revising the map..

Hi all

Started my car up tonight and after touching the throttle to gently pull away after cold start cycle the car immediately showed the “reduced engine power. Visit dealer” alert which scared the poop out of me tbh! It didn’t display again though following an ignition cycle but looking at the DTC part of the EcuTek app I’ve noticed the following. Is anyone able to tell me what these codes mean please?

Both are controlled by the vacuumpump/lines. If it worked fine after, report it, could be just a glitch hopefully.

Has anyone here got a back to back comparison from the original ecutek remap and the latest one? Whifbitz have just put a video up and I am questioning if I should actually go ahead. Flat foot shifting….launch control and rolling anti lag. I don’t think I would use them and it’s not looking like there is much gain power wise. Happy to hear otherwise but there still seems to be some teething problems.

I made an enquiry to a local remap specialist who is also an ECUTEK master tech. He won't do a GR Yaris yet as it’s still in an early phase.

Hats off to you lot who are getting this done and basically helping further develop it.

Think I'll wait a bit longer. Tbh it's plenty quick enough for me and the roads I use anyway.

Questions is when is it good enough...It's better then ever now and will continue to become better if you can wait.
On the other hand, getting it when you're past say 3/4th of your ownership reduces the benefit.
If it's a good platform you can step in and keep benefitting from improvements, and indeed the more do so, the greater it can become. What they can do on GT-Rs is pretty epic....

I quite like the FFS, it's a bit closer to sequential not losing too much boost between shifts. I might eventually end up with Ecutek just because of this, conservative tune...

Would be scared of the FFS and anti-lag causing damage/increased wear to things like clutch or turbo, but that looks like a nice package. I guess you don't have to use them ;)

The map selection is *chef kiss*

Yep, basically also what the flat foot shift does in the short time between shifts, pretty harmless if used with moderation. The rolling lag is great for boyracers measuring... something :p
Like a Red Ferrari :p

Not fussed about FFS or Anti lag at all, but I do want some protection against any valve float issues or anything like that, seeing that 330bhp seems to be the benchmark for ‘stage 1’ cars without cams etc. Once the IC is installed on mine this week, I will be looking into Ecutek, as the remote tuning is all I can hope for up here. I think 330 must surely be right at the cusp of causing issues on stock cams and springs?

Reportedly it’s high boost above 6000rpm. Mine has the Litchfield map and the most boost I have seen is 1.5. Crude observation of cars gauge. 325bhp but it was a cold day. Stock intercooler
