GR Yaris Tegiwa Exhaust test

I have the HKS Super Turbo Muffler fitted and looking at fitting the Scorpion OPF delete.. Video never showed them fitted together so I don't know how loud it will be for track days. Tegiwa is just around the corner from me so I popped in to see them and enquire. Didn't seem interested. All they said was that they can order me a OPF delete but I have to fit it myself as the massive internal workshop there is only for their race cars haha. Anyone have both the HKS and OPF delete?

Didn't the video show the HKS Legamax & Scorpion OPF delete? I know it's a different HKS exhaust but my understanding of any of the OPF delete's is that they generally don't make any noticeable noise over whatever exhaust you currently have.

I have the HKS turbo muffler and I had installed the OPF OFF Cobra and now I have replaced by the cata 200 Cobra with always HKS.

the HKS reduces the sound that can be generated by the OPF off or cata 200, but still brings a little more and also some *bang*

The one with the OPF off sounds a little bit fruitier / nicer(y) It definitely wouldn't cause you any issues noise wise at a track day compared to turning up with the OPF in place.

Perfect 👍 Thank you! I'll order one straight away haha! Do you know how many DB it is? Any issues with track day noise restrictions?
Hey pal, I don't work at Tegiwa but sorry if they weren't as helpful as they could be. I'll happy fit the OPF delete if you like, I am in Derby around 30 mins from Tegiwa. I'm pretty sure you'd still be safe on track with that combo.

Hi Matt,
Thanks for the offer! I should be ok fitting it myself but I'll keep your offer in mind haha. Have my first track day in the GR next week at Oulton so will ask them what DB it's producing and work from there..

I don’t know how many dB that is, but no trouble on circuit
please share the data you are going to measure;)

That's a great review. Pity they didn't provide a summary table for cost, weight, various dB levels etc.

Anyone fancying combing the video to make one? I'm too busy lazy :D

Also, would have been good for them to chuck it on a rolling road after each change.

The Remus OPF delete is brutal. I like the sound of it. Pretty rally/motor sports like. 😀

But would never fit this. I don't want my neighbours and so on scratching my car or throwing stones or burn down my house haha 😅 no really, you have to be extremely extroverted for this one.

Fujutsubo sounds great and street able. Considering this one for the future.

Sure. I'm really happy with it. I get lots of positive comments from other owners at track days. I just wanted the performance without too much noise.

To keep on topic it's most like the HKS I guess with the twin rear box. I do have a video but this site doesn't accept the format.

I’m not very technical, the pictures of the exhaust on the floor is that a full system ??

Do they come in 3 parts , downpipe , opf/cat the opf back ??

If so forget emissions and mot’s what’s the best set up for the car ?? And full system without and cats ??

So I have a ofp back exhaust and I’ve just bought ofp delete would it be beneficial to get a downpipe ??

Thanks
