GR86 Subaru Boxer engine lawsuit

Arkansas plaintiff Laura Young filed the Boxer engine failure lawsuit for more than $5 million for her 2019 Toyota GR86
Unless they had different model names in the states, surely she's talking about a GT86? Purchased used as well so will be hard to prove wasn't misuse.

"Arkansas plaintiff Laura Young filed the Boxer engine failure lawsuit for more than $5 million for her 2019 Toyota GR86, which she purchased used in October 2021....In April 2023, the plaintiff was driving her Toyota when it suddenly lost power, and the engine failed when the GR86 had about 64,000 on the odometer. The powertrain warranty coverage is for 60 months or 60,000 miles, whichever occurs first."

She bought a second hand GT86 [sic] which then failed outside of warranty. Putting aside that someone seemingly doesn't know the difference between a GT/GR86, I'm pretty sure Toyota lawyers will have no problem dealing with this. Don't think it will go anywhere.

How can you file a $5 million law suit for one woman with 2 failed engines, maybe £10k for both replacements max and labour.

'Class action' - she's suing on behalf of, well, every owner.

on behalf of all
others similarly situated who purchased or leased a 2013-2016 Scion FR-S, 2017-2023 Toyota
86/GR86, or 2013-2023 Subaru BRZ (the “Class Vehicles”)
