The instructions will come with it and this is a video:

However thought I'd share a few things I learned from the install:
  • Be gentle with everything and take your time. Follow the written instructions and watch a few videos before starting. If you are close or you hit something with a tool, stop and tape it up, takes 2 seconds and saves permanently marking something.
  • Grab all the tools listed to save back and forth to tool box.
  • There is 3 springs to press to remove the airbag (only makes sense when you see it), 2 near the top and one on the bottom left, look for something like coat hanger wire.
  • Horn cable seems hard to remove but has tiny tab to press and will pop right off.
  • The white connector for buttons has a tab which you may need to press in to connect.
  • Reconnecting the airbag wire is tricky, the video covers this well.
  • When you've installed the extender, the wheel won't fully engage with splines until the nut is tightened, so don't be surprised if it feels loose before this point.
The difference is significant, much much closer to you. Downside being it's harder to reach the stalks with your hands on the wheel, I can just do it and I have large hands. It is a quality item and would recommend if you want to improve your driving position.

Anything to add @Grblue86 ?

They should make a 40mm version as well.. easier to install, easier to reach the indicator and should be sufficient for most.
It's not that bad for me, but my upper legs do hit the wheel sometimes and the wheel should be a little closer. The only thing holding me back is the indicator being too far away :(

Nothing to add, the instructions and video cover everything. Be extra careful with the clockspring
Assuming all is well with the installation - steering wheel buttons all functioning ok etc??
Just wondering how it looks in person- there’s obvs a bit of a gap around the perimeter in the photo - does it look ok in person? I saw a few pics of the install in a GT86 and it looked like the steering column plastic shroud had a horizontal joint which was a bit misaligned from factory, and clearly never meant to be seen but the spacer made it visible. Maybe the GR is a bit better than the GT - You wouldn’t have another photo of the finished install?? 😬🫠

I find pretty much all cars fall about 50mm short when it comes to reach adjustment for me so this is high up the list.

Everything works perfectly as before. Well worth it having had it for a while - allows you to get a perfect driving position but you have the compromise of further away stalks.

I think fit and finish is good - had a few people in the car and no one has noticed.

Just fitted the steering wheel extender from the guy in Italy / Spacer Shop - got it off eBay (same model as for post-2017 GT86). Video above says it all and no hassle to install.
Gonna say it transforms the drive - it’s a brilliant mod for the taller gent✌️
Means you can really play with seat adjustment so it’s just right without worrying about your knees hitting the wheel (or cruise control stalk) or having to splay you left leg when clutching…
Every video I’ve seen of Gordon Murray’s older cars shows a similar (though I’m guessing more bespoke 😂) setup
