Doncaster is £500 off. Colours left are red, white, silver and grey. The Woodford Green price is much better
The GR is the last Toyota I will ever buy... I feel like anybody who placed an order with TOL at the latest RRP has been royally shaftedJust an update from TUK about discounted cars:
"The GR86 was available exclusively to Buy Online, and we were contacting customers in the order they had signed up to the waiting list to ensure fairness to any stock which was available. There were more customer's on the waiting list than there were available vehicles, hence why the vehicle was advertised as being exclusive, and solely available to buy online.
All GR86 require registration before the end of 2023, and as we are approaching this deadline the decision was made to allow the entire Toyota Centre network to place orders on Friday November 17th, as we still have limited numbers of stock available. Here at Toyota Buy Online, all models we sell are only sold at the manufacturers Recommended Retail Price (RRP) however our Centre network are independent franchises, meaning any discounts they apply to their vehicles are offered entirely at their discretion. "
Nothing new as it was speculated to be the case a few threads back and completely unapologetic those of us who get screwed by a few days before they decided to discount the cars
Same here. I do have the option to cancel and get my deposit back, but I want the blue and there are none available. I'm going to stick with it because in the end it's an expensive paint option, but it's what I want.Just an update from TUK about discounted cars:

They should have put the remainders up at list price and then pre-registered any not sold by end December, but in the end we got full range choice by ordering online and now it's restricted and also likely some previously rejected cars. The GR is the last Toyota I will ever buy... I could afford the price I paid but as in any decision I have ever made I would have liked to have paid £2k less
It's their loss... They won't get another f*cking penny out of me
This would 100% have been the best thing to do.They should have put the remainders up at list price and then pre-registered any not sold by end December, but in the end we got full range choice by ordering online and now it's restricted and also likely some previously rejected cars.
for what it’s worth: I think you’ve made the right choice.Same here. I do have the option to cancel and get my deposit back, but I want the blue and there are none available. I'm going to stick with it because in the end it's an expensive paint option, but it's what I want.
For £2k less I'd have taken the exact same car that I bought albeit from a dealer... It's lesson in how not to handle centralised salesThey should have put the remainders up at list price and then pre-registered any not sold by end December, but in the end we got full range choice by ordering online and now it's restricted and also likely some previously rejected cars.
I hate to say it, but they will not send you the delta. That’s just how it is, unsold stock that has to go, nothing illegal or what other companies do with products, just bad timing for us.For £2k less I'd have taken the exact same car that I bought albeit from a dealer... I've asked TOL (over the weekend) for the delta between what I paid and the current offer price I saw on Carwow OR the ability to hand my 600 mile car back
To date I've seen no reply... If they reject the request I'll make sure I shout from the rooftops on social media about how shit they are....
I'm a grumpy old man I know but this stinks...
Probably... They will never sell me another car though... I've had six new jap cars in my lifetime, two of them ToyotaI hate to say it, but they will not send you the delta. October 23 one of the worst months on record for car sales - many describing it “as bad as a December” the month dealers traditionally write-off for vehicle sales.I hate to say it, but they will not send you the delta. I’m of the same view. I asked the question today and they rejected to take my car back with only 50 miles and around 20 days since collection. I told them I did put on record by email before collecting my car that I was proceeding with the purchase on the expectation they would action about the alarm (at the time they confirmed it had no alarm but suggested they were investigating what to do about it). Now they are confirming nothing will be done so I expect them to take the car back if I requested. For £2k less I'd have taken the exact same car that I bought albeit from a dealer... I spoke to the dealer in Donny today and they wouldn't budge from £500 off list. I also checked on Carwow and the GR wasn't listed. No other new GR on Autotrader apart from the Donny dealer. For £2k less I'd have taken the exact same car that I bought albeit from a dealer... It's lesson in how not to handle centralised sales

I agree. It's a bit annoying but not really worth worrying about as in the long run these cars will probably hold their value anyway. Just enjoy it!We have a car that by 2030 (ICE ban) might not even depreciate, should not be worrying about a couple of grand![]()

What was wrong with it? Hopefully all as expected.Mine will be back from the paint repair this week for me to inspect then pick up next week.
A small consolation but I take your point.. My car will hopefully hold its value versus the RRP.. I’d still prefer to have paid £2k lessI agree. It's a bit annoying but not really worth worrying about as in the long run these cars will probably hold their value anyway. Just enjoy it!
