A couple of months ago, I had a minor spillage on my passenger seat...nothing major, my work bag was sitting on it with the drinks bottle upside down and the spout hadn't been secured properly so it leaked out over the course of my commute. It was only clean water, and a warm day, so I left the car parked with the windows open and it dried out nicely and I thought nothing more of it. I happened to look down on my way home tonight and noticed that unfortunately there's a bit of a tide mark left on the seat. Not hugely noticeable (hence it taking this long to spot it!) but now I can see it, it's annoying me.

However, the seats in this car are that Ultrasuede stuff I think, so I'm a bit unsure of how to clean them. I have some AutoGlym Interior Shampoo which I've used on the carpets and hard surfaces, but I'm pretty sure it says to avoid suede and similar fabrics.

Any ideas on the best way to clean these seats? Are there any decent shampoos I can use, or do I need to think about steam cleaners, wet vax, etc?

Spray foam and a soft ish brush will do the trick, it's a man made fabric and is quite tuff. 38 years cleaning cars they are the easy clean material, hope this helps
Good to know. Any particular product, or just any interior cleaner that's listed as safe should do?

Well, that was easy. Bought some Sonax stuff (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00BBWJ16U) which seems to have done the trick.

Jut a heads up if anyone else buys the same stuff - make sure you apply it using a brush or cloth or something (I bought their brush as well - https://www.amazon.co.uk/SONAX-4167410-Textile-Leather-Brush/dp/B00WEEXNTK/259-5249119-8569822). It's basically foam in a pump applicator rather than a spray, so I initially applied some splodges of it directly to the seat, and although I agitated it very quickly, after I was done you could still see spots where I'd applied it....

Was a bit concerned so I just went over it again, this time applying it directly to the brush and then scrubbing it into the seat to make sure I got an even application, and it seems to have come up nicely....

Looks a bit darker on the right hand side, but that's only because I haven't been diligent in brushing the pile all back the same way, I think.

I'll wait and see how it is after drying out fully, but hoping that's job done.
