GR Yaris PSA: The perfect 12V Usb Adapter!?

I've been looking for a USB adapter that fits under the 12V flap when not in use (I'm quite particular with these sorts of things).

Just received one of these from AliExpress for £6.83 delivered.

So far, so good. Charges from both ports well and is very nicely made for the money. Potentially ideal for those using a wireless Carplay or Android Auto adapter.

Anyway, thought this might be useful to some of you. Whether it'll stand the test of time remains to be seen.

Wireless Android Auto is nice (though photos reveal that I do need to do more dusting)

I wanted 3 so went to AliExpress via the link. There was a maximum order of 1, despite doing discounts and free shipping for multiples.

Bought one, then went back to order the next and it allowed me order as many as I wanted that time.

Ah well, they are on their way.

These are nice and neat, however I'm finding that they "walk" out of the socket so need regular pushing back in.

Have you got a link to the wireless android auto adapter? Looks much better like that rather than sticking out!

However, since posting this I've noticed that the contact between the adapter and the socket isn't quite perfect, so the adapter is pulled out by 1mm or so such that it's held firmly and makes a good electrical connection. i.e. it's perfect if it's not quite pushed in all the way.

I'll likely put a tiny rubber "shim" in between the two next time I have a fiddle.

I'm beginning to think i spoke too soon - the one in my Yaris (of interest here) has stayed in place, the one in my Skoda (no one will care about) is sliding out.

Thanks, ordered the dongle and a similar usb adaptor that hopefully is the right angle. Figured whichever I picked would have it to the wrong way and not fit!
