I have lightly scuffed my wheel in a multi story car park :poop:.

was hoping to do a smart repair (perhaps myself) but there is no paint code. I did not have this issue with my BMW wheels !

Every wheel shop is saying the paint is hard to match and have advised. 1) full respray and 2) do 2 wheels so that they match.
I think i would rather do all 4 wheels in matt black like the GR Yaris first edition, but find it hard to justify the expense for something so minor.

I know people have struggled with getting the right paint code from Toyota. The only ones who seem to have cracked it is Lepsons in Gillingham Kent, they have created the closest match.

Try Wheel Class in Sittingbourne - they are run by the guys that used to own Lepsons and have done wheels for me in the past. Very high quality.

I wish these guys would share the colour with the rest of us.

I live waaay too far away from the UK to send wheels to Lepsons but they wouldnt give up this secret, seems its locked in their safe along with their recipe for rattatouille...

Any decent wheel repairer will be able to match it. Mine sprayed the wheel black then dusted over with chrome paint. Nobody can tell the difference between the repaired wheel and the others. The repairer took another wheel off as a guide. So you don't need a paint code as such.

wheel shops have said its done like @Lauren has described at the factory. since its a 2 stage process to achieve the finish there is no 1 stage paint code. so no touch up paint. hence everyone i have spoken to is reluctant to try and match it without doing 2 wheels. its so minor I may attempt it myself. worse case I get them all done in matt black like the First Edition.

was told by reputable wheel repair outfit no motor car wheels have a paint code hence reason trouble match colour

i was told this also. but I dont think that is true and is misleading.
i have paint code for my bmw (ferric grey or something) and i have touched up the wheels and there is no difference in the original. but that finish looks like a single metallic colour unlike the GR's

Cheap option is just to leave it. I wouldn't repair a minor scuff like that. I absolutely whacked the rim of my wheel into a kerb in an off track moment at Cadwell whilst sprinting, proper gauged and bent the outer lip, so had to sort it.

Hi.
post the before and after pictures plus the peoples details so we can all send them our wheels.

I’m just waiting for someone to experiment with existing touch up colours to find something that’s close enough from a distance. Thankfully so far I’ve only scraped my winter wheels…

Hi. I've done similar damage to my wheel. The repair to your wheel looks great. Please would you let me know who did your repair. Cheers.

I used some epoxy metal putty to fill a small, pin head size paint chip on a wheel spoke, followed by Tamiya 82140 LP-40. It's far from perfect but much better than pre repair and once on the car, probably won't be noticeable to all but the most eagle eyes.
