I've put an order for GR YARIS two years ago and it has come in. Do you think I should still buy it.

I drive a Mercedes, AMG, 45, but GR Yaris will be my second car for weekend?

Why did you order in the first place? What do you like in a car? How will it be used, weekend shopping or weekend b-roads i Wales or ?

Frankly, you just asking the question to me signals it's not for you. For me there would be no doubt...

For me it would be Yaris or A45 I wouldn’t have with or as a weekend car. I don’t think you’ll find the Yaris fun because of this. But were all different.

I think the differences between the A45 and the GRY will surprise you, in a good way.

The GRY will be far more engaging to drive, especially if you have it geo’d properly. It’s a car that responds well to refinements in its driveability and giving the ergonomics an overhaul definitely puts it into fun/weekend mode.

The A45, as a daily, will do all the things that the GRY can’t (or certainly does very poorly); idle in traffic, cruise along motorways, it has more comfortable cabin, easier to live with (getting people and stuff in and out). You can also win traffic light Grand Prix and frighten people with the stock exhaust (if that’s your thing).

Similar situation, ordered in July 21, not sure if I need it two years later. X5 and i3s for family and town use and with a little one on the way not sure I will have the time.

I’ll probably take it having waiting so long and see if I make any use in the first six months. I keep telling myself I need a fun car, but a new m2, secondhand m4 are tempting.

I traded my AMG A45s in for the Yaris as I just didn't find the merc fun to drive, I think the weight held it back personally.
Yaris is now my daily and it's much more fun even on short journeys.
