I wonder if they can offer simple tuning of the throttle pedal map without any changes to anything else. Not particularly bothered about engine tuning, or at least not anything that requires more parts being changed.

How hard is it to swap, I wonder…
I suppose it depends how much you want 25bhp, to have the manifold off and on again, thats a good few hours on your back or £350-500 in labour every 12 months. That doesn't take into consideration what they have done to manage the lambda readings, you'd need one of the maps to be setup for having the stock manifold.

Either way it's still not road legal. Only really an option for dedicated track cars.

Yes fair points. Just watched a video and it doest look too difficult (on a lift) but the tune to switch between the two would be an issue. Also, it's pretty loud with the catless manifold, even with oem everything else from what I've just watched quickly on YT.

Hmm, yes, catless would be a PITA. Sports CAT would add to the cost and probably rob some of the benefit. Interested in the noise change. I took mine there for the first service and had a chat with them about various things and they dissuaded me from looking at Cobra non-res because of the noise. Definitely worth a go in their development car just to see how it feels and sounds etc.

If Fensport or similar cobbled together an off the peg package of inlet and exhaust components which released the best performance and sound enhancements whilst keeping the right side of the MOT test I’d definitely be interested.

A better soundtrack and an extra 20-25 bhp should be enough to scratch the itch and not cause a big drop in reliability I’d hope!

Maybe getting s little off topic for the group but I noticed that there's currently a sale on their NA tune.

Could always pic up a catted header and see if they'll do the stage 1 at discounted rate. For me, the main benefit of ecutek would be getting the cold start dialled back. With a nice sounding exhaust, the cold starts are awful, and with last week's cold temps it went on for a LONG time.

It'll be using ECUTEK, so by the time you've paid for the licence and their time you may aswell have the tune as well. I'm sure they could do a remap on the standard car, but if it's not a standard map they have already saved and ready to go it might cost more.

Completely pointless.
