GR86 Insurance

Indeed! No idea why I am an angel ๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ˜‚ will have a better look in a week I think.
Mine was ยฃ395 with a few mods including: Cosmetic Exhaust, Big Brake Kit, Wider Wheels, Wider Tyres and an expensive 4K 2ch Dashcam system. You must have a Diamond encrusted Dashboard innit!?

Who's your insurer? That's a crazy low price.

It's that time of year again for me and for a car which spends most it's time locked in the garage the first quotes are coming in just over 1k which is a good 300 more than last year ๐Ÿ˜•
You young and/or on 11 points? ;)

Try Moja online AXA. Very good at the moment. I just got mine for ยฃ335.
Iโ€™m 50, SDP only and 4k a year

It's also worth trying AXA themselves - it's who mine is with. They're pretty inflexible with mods, apart from a stainless exhaust, which I have. Think my premium was around ยฃ270 - 37, good postcode & driving history (touch wood!), car garaged doing 3k per annum.

I tried AXA, they were about ยฃ50 more for the same thing.
I have the ducktail on mine which is covered by the dealer fit option on the policy. Still deciding if I can be bothered fitting an exhaust yet.

I renewed mine on 9 Dec 2024, ยฃ305. ESure, 20 years NCD, 8000 mileage limit. SDP+business. Two-vehicle discount (10 or 15% ?).

I went with Policy Expert this year, silver cover (lowers the excess to ยฃ100, with ยฃ250 voluntary, making it ยฃ350, covers windshield which bronze didn't). Came to about ยฃ480, much lower than last year's with Chris Knott but I'm mostly happy that I don't have a ยฃ900 excess on the cover anymore ๐Ÿฅน

Just be warned Policy Expert seem not to like if you do multiple quotes, even through 3rd party engine and will flag you for some additional checks. I did multiple quotes, adding my partner to the policy, changing where the car was parked at night etc. They asked for standard NCD proof, but wanted my address proof, photo of both sides of the license, the gov link to my license... AND photos of my parking spot, with and without the car in it ๐Ÿ˜‚

I'm surprised that they didn't ask for a photo of your pyjamas, so that you're properly attired should you have to run outside and warn off potential thieves ๐Ÿ‘˜

Petition: Require car insurance companies to insure the car, not the driver

Iโ€™d sign a petition for car insurers to be required to recognise your no claims bonus across several cars.

So they want insurance companies to ignore driver age, claims history, accident history, convictions and instead base the premium on the car only?

Good luck with that.

Insurance companies would never move away from a risk based strategy. They simply wouldn't exist.

The focus should be on manufacturers to simplify and reduce the costs of producing cars. Then again if they did that no one would buy them. People want their cake and to eat it.

Indeed. So those who are low risk will end up paying a lot more to cover those who are high?

I'm a socialist at heart, but not for this, sorry. ๐Ÿ˜Ž :ROFLMAO:
