Grabbed this AAWireless 2 adapter recently to convert the factory head unit to support wireless Android Auto.
After confirming it worked as expected, I pulled out the trim piece that holds the USB socket and removed the socket completely, attached the adapter and taped it all up with some cloth tape so it doesn't rattle around.
Tucked it into the dash and now have a clean hidden wireless Android Auto solution.
Just need to find a blanking piece for the USB port.
