Hi all

I've been speaking to Deluxe Car Care in Ascot about partial PPF, Ceramic coating the rest and applying black PPF to the roof and mentioned there's a few of us who might be keen if we can get a discount.

Here's the quote

Our performance pack for the GT86 is £1500+vat, which consists of:

-Front bumper

-Bonnet

-Front wings

-Wing mirrors

-Headlights

-A-pillars

-Partial rocker panel section

-Rear bumper impact section (sits just behind the rear wheel)

To apply Xpels Black PPF to the roof would be £220+vat, and then to paint correct and ceramic coat the back end of the vehicle would be an additional £440+vat.

So all in all a total price of £2592 (including VAT).

He mentioned if we can get a few together we might be able to get a group buy discount of around 15% depending on numbers.

Who might be keen?

James quoted me £1400+ VAT for:
-Front bumper
-Bonnet
-Front wings
-Wing mirrors
-Headlights
-Side sills
-Rear bumper impact section (sits just behind the rear wheel)
-Single stage paint correction before PPF application

So leaving off A Pillars and leading edge on the roof as I don't want obvious lines there. I'm very tempted by it so happy to be lumped in to the group buy numbers.

Said he'd need the car for 3 days, collection on day 4 to do the above. They book 3 - 5 weeks in advance.

I was just watching this video...

He talks about ceramic coating the PPF... I din't think that was a thing? I thought the point of PPF was an alternative to full ceramic...

I am interested. I am in Reading though and have no idea how good these guys are. Are you travelling from far away to them or chose them because they were local?

There are 2 Xpel installers around the Reading area (I think the other is Aldermaston way). They both seem to have a good reputation online. Lots of prestige cars on their Facebook / Instagram pages as well 🤷‍♂️

Count me in. One thing that concerns me is all of us getting our cars at the same time andtrying to be the first on the queue. Do you know if they can do more than one car at a time?

I'm not sure, there were a few there when I went.

I guess we can cross that bridge if we get there as it seems there's a few waves of cars. My delivery date on the site is 08/08 but if it's late August I'll be away for 3 weeks so won't be in a rush for the ppf

Same date as mine

Potentially still the front end yeah (y)
Asked about just doing the front end to see what the difference was:

If you opted to only protect the front bumper, full bonnet, wings, headlights and wing mirrors then the PPF price would be £1200+vat.

When you add in the price of doing the roof with Xpels black PPF (£220+vat), paint correction and ceramic coating (£440+vat) the rest of the vehicle the full price would be £2,232.

With your 15% club discount this would end up being £1897.20 per vehicle.

We would need a minimum of three club cars for this price, but it extends to anybody else in the group that wanted the offer.

So basically £300 saving vs getting A pillars, rear impact sections and full rocker panel
