Finally arrived - my Fusion alcantara gearknob from Billetworkz.

I know its not as colourful as others on here but as I said before, I’m a sucker for alcantara. Plus i really like how it looks like something that could be OEM.

Really pleased with quality. Must resist temptation to get retrimmed alcantara steering wheel too now…..

Are you telling us that while you were sitting on your driveway, your postman just walked up and flopped his knob straight into your hand?

Thread is a veritable goldmine of innuendo....

....in-your-endo.
What's the best way of pulling the old boy off?

Grip the shaft and give it a good tug?

It's arrived. Fitted and the driveway shifts feel good so far! The weight definitely makes it smoother into gears than the stock knob. Will give it a proper test later today. Fit is perfect. View attachment 13799
This is probably my favourite one out of all the knobs in this thread.

Any indication of when it might be available to purchase and have you had a chance to play with it more?

The satisfaction I now get from playing with my knob is very very high. It's a joy to use. It did take a week or so to get used to its size, especially the girth but now I just can't go back!

Hopefully will have purchase info in the next week or so plus more info on a 2nd option which is more circular.

It looks like its been pulled down a tad too far, that's all. I think it's meant to sit in that little groove at the bottom of that black collar (professionally highlighted below :D). I think it's somewhat stretchy so just pulled it up and over that should have it back in the right position.

I like the look of that tony where did you get that done if you don’t mind me asking . Do you think it will wear through quickly ? I like it but wonder about the practicality

Its from Billetworkz. Its the fusion gearknob they have on their site.

Its quite pricey but doesn’t require a lockout adapter.

Quality seems excellent, no concerns over longevity to be honest. Have had alcantara wheels and gearknobs before on Porsches, and as long as you keep them clean, i have found them fine and no harder wearing than the usual.

Any movement on the new knob version? I would be quite keen to purchase one if available.

Fitted the GR knob today. I was surprised at the weight of the standard knob - the GR seemed so heavy and large in the box but isn’t that drastically different to the standard. Defo helps flick through the gears though.

The flat top will take a little getting used to but the chubbier shape means the GR has a nice ‘palm swell’. Plus I think it fits in really nicely with the interior and pulls it all together - the strip up the front of the knob echoes those on the seats really well.

I had just realized that you had the GR Gear Knob installed. Looks Brilliant.

May I please ask where did you get it from and at what cost? I am tempted to get one for myself.

I bought it from a guy on this forum, whose Yaris it didn’t fit, for £140.

I had enquired at the dealer before my car arrived, and they quoted £140.18+VAT, so I was happy with the price I paid.

There were some on eBay with US sellers but with postage and duty it was similar price anyway.

Can find the part number if you need it, I assume dealers can still get hold of them.

Mines been on back order with the dealership for months now.

I was quoted £176 so would be quicker to just import it anyway.
