Okay, so you're among friends here on the Zoo. We're all waiting patiently for our cars. And while we're waiting, you can share your own personal confession about the GR86.

Maybe something that you love or hate about the car, or something you'll do or somewhere you'll go when you finally have the keys... we won't judge. Unless you start moaning that someone with a later email confirmation got their delivery date before you. We all need to move on from that.

So what's your controversial obsession? What has nobody else noticed that you cannot ignore? What plans have you been hatching while you wait for delivery?

I'll kick off:

Hello Zoo. My name is @drz252 and I hate the ducktail spoiler. I'm so happy that the UK-spec cars won't have them fitted as standard.

Now over to you! Unburden your soul.

Thread's got legs...

Forgive me friends, but I secretly don't actually mind waiting for my car (until very late 2023) cos this will align with a special birthday with a zero at the end.

Potentially even more controversially, I don't mind who washes my car, I haven't even thought about how the number plates are attached, I hope someone else takes the sticky stuff off, and I think 'PPF' is an Adobe Acrobat file.

I too dislike the Ducktail spoiler but only because of the way it's fitted; it looks stupid stuck onto another plastic trim on the boot.

It's unlikely I will last 500 miles let alone 1000 before hitting the rev limiter, please don't tell any future buyers. 🙈🙉

The brake Calipers 🤬 , it’s a sports car and they look like they came off the CEO’s C-HR 😱 I know the brakes are perfectly adequate, cheap to replace etc etc but no one is going to ask you “where did you get them from , I want some?”

As for “filling the arches” with big wheels and tyres and rubbing your body work away forget it , I’m all for filling the alloys with big discs and calipers so I don’t look like a C-HR/ Corolla parts bin special 😂👍

Edit Thanks for @Kosh for reminding me , the 🤬 18” black blobs , titanium or gold please.

You’re already thinking of selling it 😳🤣 , I’m hoping this will be my last Pet-O-Rol engined car and will add it to my will for No1 son 👍

Hmm good thread. Confessions

So I'm one of the early bird website orders (which for some reason people take issue with)

I'm mildly concerned that when I get in my car after all the hype it might not live up to it.

I've watched far too many reviews but look forward to some UK videos.

I really want a duckbill and a slightly louder exhaust

On collection I'm really going to want to hop in let it warm up then rev the nuts off it but I will break it in properly.

I think PPF and ceramic coating are a load of useless nonsense.

I cba to wash the car myself but might avoid the local hand scratch washers

Wheels and brakes are fine as stock for me.

Think that's all 😅

Actually I'll add another one.

'Hard interior plastics' - don't mind them. Reviewers sometimes go on about this as if it's a problem.

I much prefer my interior made with firm material. Much better than that car I had with the interior fashioned with blancmange, candyfloss and soup.

🤡

I'm glad this thread is here cos I don't think you've mentioned this before @AndyRC

I've never driven a rwd car and have a slight concern I'm going to total it.

Having come from a couple of 6.2l V8 AMG C63 one with over 500bhp , no LSD and only 9inch of rubber at the back , treat it with respect , drive it like it’s always wanting to kill you , find the limits gradually and treat wet or greasy roads with extreme caution and you should avoid a ditch, wall , tree hospital or any combination thereof 👍🤣

PS I find having the CEO in the passenger seat seriously slows things down too 😉

After all this time I’m worried that it’s not going to ‘feel’ special. It’s amazing to have a car that’s RWD, N/A and at a decent price point but arguably it is only slightly better than basic on the inside.

After putting on a lot of lockdown weight I’m genuinely worried I might not fit behind the wheel being a portly fellow 😂 which is both sad, true and funny at the same time.

I love the Supra, I wish I’d never sat in one , and if they ever decided to put the wobbly stick in the 2.0 I’ll be moving the 86 on to get one without a second thought (at least at the moment)
