Gday team.

Posting from New Zealand. I have a 2023 GR Yaris, which over here comes with the double torsen diffs, the bigger style brakes etc, much like the Japan specs.

I have been taking the little rocket out on track recently, and I’m new to track days with a personal car.

I’ve read a few places including here about oil pressure drops under hard braking on track, a few people comment that this is a known issue if you get an ECU that reads more frequent data you can notice it, or some that say in later Gen 1 models such as my 2023 this was revised with a different sump from factory.

I guess I’m after some advice on anything to look out for/do for my Yaris to survive endless track day fun.

Thanks guys!

Good day sir!

Sounds like you should look in to Lamspeed baffles.

Other helpful track parts would mainly be brake and cooling upgrades - brake fluid, brake shims, braided lines, and oil cooler should get you out on track for a good while, you'll probably need a break before the car does!

BTW all GR Yaris have the same size brakes (except maybe the Japan-only 1.5l MXPA12 which doesn't count IMO) but some are just painted red from the factory.
