GR Corolla GR Corolla up for auction in the uk

I suspect having no warranty will put a few people off but they’re pretty reliable unless you’re an American who can’t change gear.

If the rumours are true about these being potentially built at Derby then i think this could be a bad buy. Pay all that money for a non warranty car and then for the market to be potentially filled with brand new cars with warranties.

They will be built in derby but with the current engine I don’t think there’s any chance of them being sold in the UK.

Tegiwa recently had or still have a gen2 Yaris import up for sale, I can't remember the exact figure, but I do remember thinking its just not cheap enough. Naturally you are going to take a hit on residual value when you come to sell it in years to come, the true cost of a car isn't just how much it cost you. I understand the Corolla is more of a niche product and commands its cost to a point, but imported Yaris's for UK retail money is suicide.

I thought I read there is a newer 4 pot being developed?
It’s being developed but yet to be seen in a Corolla. Euro6e controls has already restricted torque for the new Gen2.5 Yaris I guess it all depends on the 2.5 emissions but it’s going to be a challenge.
