I have searched the forum and found many posts referencing getting gauges to show on the infotainment screen but not found anything conclusive.
Is there an easy way to accomplish this With android auto ?
At the moment I never actually have this screen on.
I have a 1.4 mk7 golf estate that has this as standard and Would like the GR to show something usefull on the screen.

I did read that but it seems torque pro no longer works, or its a real faff to get it working with rooted phones and other apps.
I was hoping someone may have found an easier way to display gauges.

Simply install Torque Pro, then search the forum for additional PIDs, import the file, then install AA Torque, configure it to your liking and you're done.

Works perfectly, unless you have Android 14.

My phone is rooted.

I tried to download it previously but it says not compatible with my android version. I am on 13

It's crazy that in 2024 this stuff is complicated at all. Too many lazy people in software jumping from job to job. Half of them probably cheated on their qualification tests or have fake quals.
Sad but true. I used to run obd2 gauges on iPhone seamlesslessy back in 2009, what happened!? I know, but do you?

The app is working with Android 14.

Clear the Playstore cache for example.

Just AA Torque won't run with Android 14, but you are on 13, so still possible.
Thanks for that great advice, it has all loaded up now 👍 bit fiddly with the AA Torque as it still shows as downloaded by kingspan not playstore, nonetheless Android auto still opened it up.
I don't have a obd2 dongle yet so will borrow one to test it puts data on the gauges.
