I just put a 12V 60AH LiFePO4 battery on, everything works great, but I get an annoying message on the dash "start-stop system unavailable, visit dealer".
I don't like and want the start-stop, is there a way to get rid of this?
It will be saying it as the battery doesn’t have enough power to provide the start stop function (however 60A is matching the OEM spec but worth checking the full tech spec).
I suspect there’s no way to remove the message popping up.
is the battery charged and in good condition? I have been driving with 20Ah battery for almost 3 years and no such messages have appeared. although keep it mostly in warm garage + in Lithium charger.
edit. + not using start stop and 99.9% in sport mode so maybe haven't seen error because of that.. (start stop is disabled in sport mode)
Thanks, yes the battery was charged full before use and it is warm (I live in Colombia). I had to use an extension cable for the negative side. It should be more than enough.. but I will try to connect it directly and see if the problem persist.
For anyone in the future, either the extension was not connected properly, or the car did not like it. It was fixed after I connected the original cables directly.
