Does anyone have the same problem?
In rainy day, if you turn off the engine stop and start , it will turn on by itself in normal and track mode, the sport mode is fine.
I always turn function off first after I turn on the engine, but it will turn on by itself in rainy day.… I watched the warning lights off. o_Oo_Oo_O
Nothing touches the button again, I'm pretty sure.

Thanks

What mode do you run in out of curiosity as I don’t turn start stop off I just run in sport which kills it anyway.

Usually in normal mode, in track mode for rainy day and in sport mode for fun.
This vehicle is my daily use. So I am troubled when it rainy day.
Local dealers can't find any problems.

I only really use normal and track mode at the moment, and I basically always turn stop start off. My standard operating procedure is track mode, imt on, start stop off, then hold down the lane departure button to turn that off. I've never seen it turn back on even once I turn it back onto normal for a slow down towards the end of a drive.

As a note try sport in the wet. I used to be like you and use track for wet and snow then realised the car is more playful in track in those conditions.

It only happens on rainy day.

No real reason, I'm just less likely to hoon it in normal mode, and that gives the turbo a bit of time to cool off a bit as well.

I guess some mechanical sympathy?

That and having track mode on for the 30mph roundbouts within a couple of minutes of here is a bit unnecessary.

Yeah, that's pretty much every other day in the UK

Mechanical sympathy for what? All the parts are still moving whatever the mode. Your right foot provides much more mechanical sympathy at the start and end of a drive.

I’m not sure on the Yaris but many modern cars keep the oil running through the turbo after the engine is switched off for a certain time.

Can’t say I’ve noticed any difference with the stop start regardless of weather ?
You’re not putting the heater up to the screen are you ?
Will be using mine soon and it’s raining so will see

If you turn off stop start then change between say, normal and track stop start will reengage.

Yes, I know this rule.
In my case it's not stopping the engine after starting from home go through a few blocks, it will turn on by itself.
And I need put my finger on the butten, push the button to turn off system again.
I drive 40 km a day (home>office>home) need 3 or 4 times push the button to turn off system again.... .... again.
So it bothers me sometimes, I think maybe everyone can use normal mode drive on rainy day. (just a small test)

Thanks everyone

Mine is now over 9000 miles and this has never happened to me. Quite a lot of that has been wet weather and normal mode.

An engine stop and start ghost that appears on a rainy day.
During the 20km city trip to get off work, it happened more than 10 times. o_Oo_Oo_O

Sorry I might be missing something here.

So you turn the car on and in normal or track press the auto stop start button which illuminates the dash with the orange “a”. Then whilst driving the light goes out without pressing anything and auto stop start kicks in?

Yes.
There is a vedio that makes it easier to understand.
Some problem are difficult to explain. :D

Take it to your dealer, it can be looked at under warranty.

The only time it should re-nenable the auto stop/start is if you change the drive mode, press the auto stop/start button, or if you cycle through turning the ignition off and on again.
