Hello All, I posted this question on the "other" site, along with the pic courtesy of Welshboy. I would be most grateful if anyone here can throw some light on this ? - Best, Keith
Many thanks. I think I have marked up your pic 1011 correctly ? - lets try this.

I have marked in green the right hand side, duct / intake / which looks like a funnel, and I am guessing takes air to the engine bay ?

On the left hand side, which I have marked in red, this duct / intake does not seem to serve any purpose and looks to my uneducated mind to have some kind of blanking plate attached and leads to nowhere ?

I do hope that I am explaining this clearly now ? and any educated views will be gratefully

Thanks for this. However, and perhaps I am missing something, does anyone know what the left hand side "duct" is for, which I have marked in RED ? this one is puzzling me ! Best, Keith
green is cooling tract for gearbox, read does nothing as it is blank next to IC. purpose is to block air going through IE helping heat exhangers get more pressure and thus more air flow going through.

Many thanks for explaining this, I shall pass this on to my service tech. I was also thinking that it would be vice versa on a left hand drive car, i.e the same bumper would be used in the same manner, and finally what is I.E ? - Thanks, K
