GR86 Drivers seat noise

Hello

Had my new to me GR86 for around a month now and a noise is doing my head in re the drivers seat. I've done a search on here but haven't come across the issue. It's not the belt buckle creak (got that too) but when you push the lower seat back rest cusion there's a kind of soft clicking noise, when driving and using clutch i'm putting pressure on the back rest causing the noise. Seem to remember my old GT86 might have done this also come to think of it. The passenger seat doesn't do this. Just wondered if this was normal before raising warranty job?

Not noticed this. Does it happen whether seat is all the way back as well as a few clicks forward?

Thanks for the reply. Yes i think it does but will test again tonight. I just wonder if this will be covered by warranty..
 
So moved the backrest angle and the seatbase to test but noise still there. When pressing the lower backrest cushion it does seem to make the creaking noise from the buckle holder so not sure if they're related now 🤔 🤣
 
So have booked into dealers. Just wanted to confirm i'm not going mad but when i sit in the drivers seat with stereo & engine off and move body forwards off the back rest i get this knocking sound. Passenger seat doesn't do this. Is everyone else's drivers seat silent when doing this? :ROFLMAO: It's driving me mad!

Mine has done this a couple of times. If it was consistent I would do something about it.
 
So perhaps i'm going mad and it's just the way the seat is. They couldn't replicate the noise even with me there but the workshop is quite noisy lol. I tried the paasenger seat again and i hadn't heard it before but seems to do it as well so will have to live with it i guess...🤦‍♂️
 
Sorry to be a pain and revive this issue but there's something not right with my drivers seat. Didn't help that my local dealer parked the car in noisy workshop so couldn't hear the noise the seat was making. Can i please ask again if someone can sit in their drivers seat with stereo off and move their torso forward & backwards off backrest to see if any creaking sound :ROFLMAO:
 
I’m sorry mate, I’m a 183cm and quite heavy guy and no sound with the drivers and passengers seat in my 2023 LHD GR86 …
 
So took my car back to the dealers and made them hear the noise outside the workshop and they confirmed they could hear it so left it with them for few days and they ordered new back rest grommets for the padding/cushion. Drove the car and it seemed like it had gone but it's there still if stationary but when pressing the clutch in not like it used to so that's good. I'm guessing when staionary these seats just make a bit of a noise lol
