GR86 Colour of alloys, matt or satin?

I’ve some really minor alloy rash, its about time I addressed it with a bit of 2 part black filler, my trusty dremel and a bit of spray paint.

Have the collective any idea what paint will match in? It looks more satin, than matt.

i've read that just a black sharpie would do the job at a pinch. I would say Satin if i had to choose

Whatever you go for will need a different ceramic sealant. My detailer has to order one in for mine. Used the same on the TWS wheels

Can you explain what you mean by different? I was planning to use gtechniq c5.

Not sure, probably different to what he's normally used which would be KKD Revolve. I'll have to ask him.

The ‘KDD Revolve’ used by the aforementioned detailer is not meant for Matte wheels, hence the need for an alternative. Your choice of Gtechniq C5 Wheel Armour however, is fine because it is advertised as suitable for all finishes, including Satin and Matte.

I did my OE 18" rims today and there was enough to do the faces and inner lips, with a few drops to spare.

Halfords satin black wheel touch up is a near perfect match.

Halfords matt black is also a good match to the inner lips for painting the silver balancing weights...
