Looks like fun, same thing as auto cross in the US I think.

I’ve done autosolo, lots of cones. The concept is that there has to be a direction change in so many meters. You’re also allowed a passenger for directions in case you get lost.

Might have to give it a go, though I’d probably be a bit paranoid about damaging the paint hitting the cones🤣

I have, one of his later videos I think I’m briefly in but was still getting used to the car, my later runs I was quicker than him by some margin but consistency is key.

I won the Goodwood AutoSolo in my class at the next event though.

Here’s a couple of vids from previous events

I wanted to do it in the GRY but for that very reason I chose not to, I did it in a dc2 integra and dnded up hitting a cone anyway.

I have done the odd one in my time, though prefer going a bit quicker. Consider the Javelin Sprint Series as we run the Toyota Sprint Series within it:

You drive a timed lap from a standing start of a circuit. It's good fun and very competitive. Would be great to get some GR86's in it for this year. Back in the day when I had a GT86 we had the biggest class with around 12 GT86's at times. :)

Been looking into this a bit today, quite fancy trying it at least once in my life in my GR86 :D Looking at the provisional calendar for '24 the Midlands seems quite well catered for, Coventry, Donnington, Curborough, Shenington, and maybe 1 or 2 more. Doing the PH Prescott hillclimb in April but that is non competitive.
