The GRY don’t seem to be moving at that price anymore, no one paying 40k these days. I’ve been watching the prices come down slowly, 160 odd circuit pack cars on auto trader so they’re hardly rare.

I actually think the GR86 could go for a bigger premium with there being 430 odd. The GRY CP cars on auto trader alone would amount to over 40% of the 86 allocation.

I’ve heard that a dealer who went to Toyota Goodwood training day had someone willing to pay £50k for one.

Suppose we will all find out when first one gets advertised and sold.

If someone offered me £50k they can have it 🤣
There was a uk GR Yaris on collecting cars with the circuit pack and 4k miles only fetched 31k at the weekend. I think the ship has sailed for big overs on most things now. I am sure before the new year you could get £35 for a GR86 but I expect not much more and demand for people paying over list will tail off due to the economic situation. I am sure they will hold there value well for the next couple of years but they are a niche and once you start getting into 40k plus a lot of people will go second hand porker. I don’t think anyone need to loose any sleep on GFV if they have gone the PCP route. Mine is a keeper but I would have to sell if they were going for 50k would be mad no to and I expect so would a lot of the people on here

I totally agree, even high 30’s puts it into the realms of other premium marques. I do think however, running costs associated with highly depreciated premium brands can be eye watering.

The fluctuations in second hand prices is crazy. I’m toying with selling my defender but finding it hard to value.

According to howmanyleft, there were nearly 4000 GR Yaris cars registered by Q2 2022, so vastly greater numbers. IMO the GR86 hasn't had the same degree of UK media hype as the yaris though, so far at least, so maybe there won't be quite such a frenzy. Who knows!

Mine told me the same seeing if I would give up my slot. I almost bought two on launch as it was so limited but I felt a bit mean taking away a slot from someone wanting one.

Ha ha. Are you going to test drive a GR86? Or decided to definitely keep the Supra?
I’m definitely going to keep the Supra. I’ve been weighing it up and, whilst I do miss shifting my own gears I can get 75% of the way to the same sensation by rowing up and down the gears on the stick.

It’s not the same but. For me. I think the more premium interior on the Supra would make the GR feel less special.

That being said I would love the manual Supra. It would be the best of both worlds. But unless the APR comes down significantly Ill stick with what I have.

Oh you can bet your arse I’ll test drive one though. Just to say I did 😂

2027 - (me in the pub) oh yea. GR86 legendary car buddy. Owened one myself. 10:14 order. Owned it for nearly 15mins whilst I sorted the paper work with the new owner 😂😂

I prefer the look of the Supra over the GR86, the GR86 looks great but the Supra is on another level. I was toying with the idea of the 2.0 but it was the 2 seats that put me off. I know the seats in the back of the GR86 are tiny but my kids are 4 and 7 so I am hopeful that they can both fit for a few years.

But I have a basic Audi A4 at the minute as my weekend car and really loving how practical it is, it’s just not very exciting or special. Making me wonder if I should go for a fast German saloon instead? S4’s and 340’s are really tempting me.

I’m lucky at the moment. Me and the wife haven’t quite made the step to starting a family so I managed to convince her it was fine for me to have the 2 seats.

She has a new HRV so if we need to pick up friends, or when we do have kids, we’ll use that for the most part.

I much prefer the look of the Supra. Because it is so distinctive. That’s not to say the GR isn’t a great looking car. But it does have design elements that are more generic.

I like the way the Supra makes me feel like I’m in a cockpit of some kind of jet. I know some people complain it’s dark or cramped. I personally love it.

I drove a c class a little while ago and enjoyed that. That was a wonderful car. But SO expensive for nothing special.

I’ve never driven an Audi or BMW (except the Supra 😂)

When my Mrs got pregnant with our first I bought an S2000, and when the 2nd came along I bought a Cayman. :D

I obviously went to look at the blue car but honestly, was more excited by the yellow one looks wise...

GR86 test drive on Friday but the Yaris is just SO DAMN GOOD in this weather it really is going to struggle to win me over right now 🤦‍♂️I guess the delays have been fortuitous in a way... The Yaris is (so far) my favourite car I've owned since my DC2 Integra, and you've ended up in a Supra!

Are you going to have a go at selling yours then? I'm tempted to try it but feels a bit risky!
