Thanks for sharing, that's more info than they've been giving out to anyone else up until now. Hopefully if they are monitoring this, they'll realise that most of us would be extremely grateful if they could pro-actively email out an update to all, rather than only responding when specifically asked.Afternoon all,
I emailed Toyota UK earlier this week and received the below response re deliveries. I was somewhat hesitant to post this as I feel the sharing of information may actually be putting them off of divulging more info somehow. But I want to know as much as possible about when the car will arrive and I figure you all feel the same:
"With regards to the delivery hold, we have been advised that the required change to meet European conditions is being implemented at our UK hub and deliveries should commence this month. Currently your order is showing an estimated delivery date in the second half of November, however this is an estimate and can change. You will be notified by the Vehicle Order Tracker when your car leaves our depot. When it arrives at (Dealer) it will be put through its final pre delivery inspection before you can collect it.
We have been advised that the software of the brake computer has been updated to better suit European driving and road conditions."
Car was ordered at 10:07, sitting in the UK since late June. Hopefully the above comes as good news to some who have been told December, progress may not be far off.
What does concern me slightly is a a month ago when we all got excited about deliveries happening and then it was delayed again. Worried that with the lack of info/ differing info going around from Toyota Online, the same may happen again. I do wish they would give us a schedule, i.e "Cars are being updated in week x, transporters booked for week y, delivery to your dealer between days A and B, with a 5 day period post delivery before you can collect".
It is funny how as a grown man, you no longer believe in Santa as its a fantasy, but you can persuade yourself that your sports car will be delivered in October, without even a hint of supporting evidence!
We are hoping to have an update in the coming weeks so in the meantime I wanted to get everything on your order ready.
Thats disappointing, it would be in with a chance to do very well in the car of the year reviews, I know EVO is taking place this week so if it misses this years, then its sort of 'old news' in 12 months, I know the GRY got shipped in from Germany for 2020 ECOTY and was pre prod but they had use of a circuit at the time, if other magazines are using circuits there isnt really a reason to not have a pre prod or the car that PR bloke is parading. Top Gear tend to have priority over press cars so unlikely anyone else will get hold of it soon.View attachment 8511
looks like top gear are aware of the issues. Shame it missed out on top gear speed week. Toyota marketing pretty useless to miss this
This sounds like very positive news if local dealers are now being added into the mix (finally).Today, I got a new "intermediateDeliveries" entry.
Its the location of my dealer.
Also the callOffStatus changed from "free" to "called off".

I’ve just done the same, thanks for bringing this section to our attention. Lots of information in there! Seems we get both sensors and camera judging by the list.Just going through the myT 'all' code to see if i can find anything, there is a list of all 'options' included. Seems (hopefully) rear parking sensors are included. Mine is a manual, i hope it does, dont love the look but rear cameras seem useless 50% of the time in wet/winter unless they hide which the GR's doesnt.

So much info if you have time to go through every drop down. Interesting stuff actually, (probably like you I was hunting for another hidden delivery date! ) - 'if' all the items on the lists are on the car its good news I think. Even has nominated dealer included which Im not sure I chose but who can remember that long ago!I’ve just done the same, thanks for bringing this section to our attention. I wouldn't place too much faith in that tbh; there's also entries listed for the auto-dimming rear mirror, which I'm pretty sure we don't get. Also, the pictures we've seen of the press car clearly show it has no parking sensors on the bumper.Just going through the myT 'all' code to see if i can find anything, there is a list of all 'options' included.
